In this vein Erma Fatima as writer/director comes to mind and she has adapted Natrah the story of the Dutch girl who was adopted by Muslim parents.....then there was Sirah Jujungan the story of Islam and how it came about...very positive messages about the religion with a cast of stars and superstars from the local entertainment industry.
The women in this play were the good Muslim women who spoke without being seen, behind a wall or curtain and wore long dresses with head cover. Actually the men too were clothed in long dresses...
